On October 5 Larry Elisson announced during the Open World in San Francisco the launch of Oracle Cloud and Oracle Social Network , a new platform that allows users to not only collaborate in real time on projects, share information and content, but also take advantage of all applications in the Fusion Middleware including HR, CRM and Financials. And all this with a service “on demand”.
The platform will initially be available in the cloud and focused CRM clients for later use integration with WebCenter Suite including Content WebCenter, WebCenter Sites, Portal and WebCenter WebCenter Social
During the weeks before the launch VASSIT team has been working with Oracle to integrate one of its Gadgets ” Invenio “that allows companies to improve internal communication, collaboration and use of resources, enabling the pursuit of knowledge within the organization, including facilitating the management of customer relationships as evidenced by Larry in the Keynotes. ” Invenio on the Cloud “is the first integration partner develops a promising solution for Oracle
When Oracle gave us the opportunity to work on this project do not doubt for a moment, this has allowed us to anticipate the market and position ourselves as leaders in these technologies. The day after the announcement (Thursday 6 October) several papers have deepened on the subject. In one of the main sessions “Oracle’s Social and Collaboration Strategy and Vision” Andrew Kershaw showed “Invenio” as an example of integration of “business objects” on the new platform.
We have been working with VASSIT, one of our “partners” leaders in WebCenter, BI and SOA to show how our customers can build on “Social Platform from Oracle.”VASSIT has shown how to integrate applications using our technologies, “social and cooperation’s,” so that business users can focus on their core processes and thus direct the same, applications and content in the context of their environments and collaborative applications.

Both the Cloud as the Social Network and will promise a lot of talk but meanwhile you have some photos of the “DemoGround” in which I saw with satisfaction as one of the Product Manager client showed a gadget developed by Daniel Fernandez, Juan Paul Andrew, Nathan Nelson, Nuno Duque, Pedro Gutierrez and Racan Osman. When I went to see “outside” the impression I could hear “That’s a Killer App”.
